The Author Trophy is an entry-level mountain bike known for being simple and hard-wearing — a good fit for someone just taking up cycling, or looking for cheap transport.
Main features
Frame: high-tensile steel (Hi-ten) — durable, but it adds weight (about 15.5 kg all in)
Wheels: standard 26 inch with aluminium rims, the classic mountain bike choice, and nimble with it
Brakes: classic V-brakes — easy to service and effective enough for everyday riding
Who is it for? The Author Trophy is meant as an all-round bike for city streets, forest trails and gravel roads.
